Thomas - Months 4 & 5

Another month and so much more to see and do. As you can see by the bare bodkin, Thomas' is a little confused by this summer heat...but he is learning to adjust.

Wow, where do we begin? The last 2 months have been just amazing. Thomas is now sitting unsupported, plays thoughtfully with his toys rather than just randomly batting at them, can grab things with one hand or both and examine them closely, can roll from front to back and nearly from back to front, and can tumble from a sitting position into the ‘crawl ready’ position. When we hold him in a standing position he makes clear steps with both feet. He’s also experimenting with sounds and when hungry seems to make a sound that is pretty close to ‘mama’, but sounds more like ‘mwah mwah’. According to the growth charts, he’s still a big boy – 19.2 lbs and 66 cm long. He no longer fits in his bathtub! The best part is that he really never stops smiling or laughing these days. The absolute best is when he hasn’t seen you for a while, and when he does, his face erupts into this amazingly broad grin, complete with shining, smiling eyes. It is really too much. He’s the most gorgeous little boy!
